what can I really say here, I already liked these fellows and I really enjoyed making their designs, they are quite charming on a very siniestre kind of way
Mangosteen is my fav of all the designs tho, he is like a ventriloquist ’s dummy but of like 2 meters and a taste for dark formal and funky 70’s

I loved doing this work since carol is one of my fav stories, and was pretty fun making my own version of marley’s ghost, on movies he always look so stiff, long and like a wall of ice, I guess to make his presence to weight and scare more at Scrooge, but since her request was to see a melancholic Marley on the times he watched over his old friend, I wanted him to look as trying to make himself smaller and close in, as if he would keep hunching as the years keep passing and making Scrooge’s bitterness even greater

I technically changed Pirouletta ballet dancer theme to more cabaret dancer to fit better with the casino bussiness, her design is quite inspired in a certlain 30’s film, can you guess which?
Pip and Dot were a bit hard to design since I wanted to make them both cute smallsies and similar looking, but not enough to be weird since they are suppost to be a married couple and adults as you know, tho i imagien them basically cuphead size

me: villanous is a fun cartoon and has some nice ideas but doesnt have very original designs and the premise of villains as main characters never really pay off since they always end up being the butt of the joke and awful at actual evil perverse acts
me after watching any villanous short filled to the brim with old school refs, the original spanish VAs, and the constants swearing and cursing: VILLANOUS IS A FUCKING GIFT ON THIS AWFUL EARTH AND NOBODY CAN SAY OTHERWISE!!!

tho I don’t see them exactly as a team or a sole act type of things, these guys probably are individual acts that sometimes mix (tho mr chimes probably is part of the casino’s orchestra in general)
since already 2/3 of them already are sorta dressed, I mostly just had to work on chip’s design, which mostly is a very gaudy combo of sparkly cowboy, checks flannels and lots of fringes, that guy is a mess!!
