You guys honestly don’t know how much it means to me every single time I look at these pictures, or anything like this. The thought that someone has created something because of something I did makes me really, really, really emotional. Like, heart thumping in my chest, tears welling up, stomach clenching emotional.
There’s a gorgeous Neil Gaiman quote somewhere about how everyone has worlds inside them, maybe hundreds and hundreds of worlds, and every time I see things like this, fanart or fanfic or links to music or podfic or translations or anything inspired by anything I’ve done, I feel a bit more like I’m the size of those worlds, and not just the little five foot four flesh and bones of me.

Hey, mighty one! I've always been curious about your version of Cecil that you've been drawing. Mainly about his head, because I've been trying to figure out what it's suppose to resemble. Probably my own fault because I'm sure you've mentioned it somewhere that I happened to miss. So I was wondering, is his head like that because you've designed it to resemble a sliced off upper half or is it something entirely different?
oh man! well, when I was making Cecil, I was thinking in making him some kind of elritch abomination because I don’t really like that much doing pretty boys with just tiny weird details, but at the same time, I neither wanted him to look so dramatically strange yet still wanted him weird
But then I remembered when they said on one episode about a woman who had just give birth to a grow man’s hand and it was like “things like that are like totally normal everyday thing on nightvale” so, my Cecil is basically a perfectly normal (or as normal someone from nightvale can be) person, except for the fact his head is missing the upper part (a birth thing)
heh is just that I never really got that interested on how Cecil’s full face was, I always was concentrate on his mouth and voice, and I also imagine him like someone that speak with the hands too, being pretty expressive in general by just that!
