I basically imagine him being a complete mess teen back in the day, since I imagine Lalotai as this society with concious monsters not just tamatoa, but also still as savage as when everybody was trying to eat Moana, so lil’ Tama probably acted more aggresive and wild on that age, is no easy growing up in the realm of the monsters

//Yo Mighty. You're exceptionally good at drawing Eldritch creatures. I have a character of my own whom I'm trying to make even more "unknowable"/horrific. Do you have any tips for going about this? What gives you inspiration for your drop dead "gore"-geous designs like Father Abner and that cool cactus looking sphere with the eyes? Anything to keep in mind when drawing creatures of another dimension?
oh I still think I have a lot to learn at monster making, I feel I lack a lot into the grotesque and scary, but I am very flatter you like my guys so much!!
I feel the process really vary, I just have always loved the idea of unhuman creatures being involved into normal stuff, so I like to just make things that you wouldn’t inmediatly accept as just normal, being very civil
stuff like Father Abner, since he was a fan OC at first, his design had to do a lot with what we knew and perceived back then about Desert Bluffs, this corporational religious sunshine town (that I though was gonna turn out to be genetic manipulation stuff but ehhh it didn’t) he is at first this weird distorted humanoid creature, mostly becuase want to have a more direct control on his people, with the all seeing eye as head to show his conection with horrible capitalism and religion but also the forms of the symbols of Strex and the Bluffs, the many arms were meant to parody the idea of a multitasking bussinessman and symbolize how he had a hand on everything, incredible tall to look down on anybody becuase he is the boss of everybody, the stomach mouth was becuase of him being also this unstoppable hunger. Abner was meant to be this monster version of what I saw as an ultimate bussinessman pretty much!

Shawn monster form! they might look fuzzy, but they feel both crispy fur and paper, is unsure exactly how deep that fur it is, but is more likely one end up sucked in and stuck if trying to get into it
