What if Pitch and Sandy were more like inorganic beings? They are already very very old spirits who have being on earth since who knows when, but what if they were not really taken as “guardians” like North and the others, but more like a force of their own? They still “help them” sometimes (specially Sandy) but are taken as unpredictable.

So when Jack appeared they “welcomed” him to his new spirit status, and… they are quite terrifying to Jack since then.

He ends up learning that the other Three guardians kind of fear them too, and look at them like “what happens to you when you are old as fuck and kind of go crazy”. Well, that’s what they think because how could they understand beings as old xD

And because Jack is young and all, they like to show up from time to time to “invite him” to “explore places” and “learn things”. Which just scares Jack more because both Sandy and Pitch are trolls. More so Sandy.

Ah, whatever this AU is, I should be doing other stuff.

I just couldn’t help myself. Here’s a little fic of Pitch and Sandy’s lives early on in their relationship. I hope you don’t mind.

   .

They only existed at night. Only when dreams and nightmares ran wild and free, as unbound as the very wind itself. Together and apart, intertwined or not, they created worlds as fragile as soap bubbles and as common as dandelion seeds drifting on the wind.

Once the sun’s golden light rose and overcast the moon, they became very different from their pervious selves. What once was twirling and dancing golden sand drifting throughout the sky became sunbeams and dust motes hung by a moment in time and moved into motion by a mere breath. Thin whispers of wind sliding by the outside window, shifting the branches of a tree just so to make reaching arms and grasping hands of out the spaces between the light and the pool of darkness that slithers out from under you bed becomes a pale shadow underneath the light’s rays, only just dark enough to remind you that darkness and fear are never completely vanquished.

This happened always, though how often one could never be sure. The two moved about the globe, forever chasing the darkness that descended upon the world. Their homes might have been connected to this planet, but they were not bound to them and often delighted in running through places right as the last of the touched upon the horizon. The two never stayed for long though, the world always turned, and night would fall to dawn once again no matter what the two did.

And when their work was done, because there is only some much you can do, even for one of them and even the longest of dilly-dallyings for they did greatly enjoy their work, they played games. At first it was always a game of chase, a “ha-ha catch me if you can” sort of thing that neither remembered who first started it. But slowly, as time passed, and nights came and dreams and fears were brought to life to hang in minds for only moments, the games started to change. Slower, softer games that absolutely burned in smoldering eyes of sun and shadow. And more than once they had thought they would certainly burst from the intensity of emotions pulsing through them.

Touches lingered, kisses were initiated and welcomed, and smiles were often.

Others who came after the two may not understand, or approve, but the two didn’t care. What did it matter to them the thoughts of those thousands of years younger than they? For they existed long before the others, and know secrets that the others will never know, or fully grasp understanding of. They were happy, and that was all that mattered to the two. Eternally together, two sides to the same balance, as perfect as the star’s light against the black backdrop of space.

((Semi-combined all three of these. Enjoy.))

Sandy groaned as he waited in line for the movie tickets, the person in front of him struggling with the machine. His date had bailed on him, and after he had already purchased the tickets on Fandango, but none of his friends had the night free; North was going with Tooth to a book signing while Jack and Aster had an art show. Gladly taking the tickets from the machine when it was finally his turn, he glanced around to see if anyone wanted a free ticket. “Guess I just have bad luck…” He pouted.

“Excuse me, I need to use the pay phone.” A voice that could have been velvet said, and Sandy glanced up at the taller (not that it was hard, with his height of about 4’6”) young lady. Stepping to the side, he leaned against the wall and glanced at the tickets, trying his best to ignore the yelling. “Well then I hope you get fucked by a cactus!” The girl slammed the phone down and huffed.

“Date ditched you too, Legs?” He hadn’t meant to sound both pitying and teasing, but she must have not noticed. “I’ve got an extra ticket to the new Evil Dead movie and…”

“You’ve got an extra ticket? But it’s sold out…” She seemed to perk up at that. “I’ll join you. It might help me forget that I got ditched.” Smiling, she leaned down and pecked his forehead. “You’re sweet.”

Sandy blushed and gladly led her inside. They decided to split a large popcorn and get separate sodas. Pitch, odd name but she had said it was more of a nickname, didn’t seem to mind his bad flirting and snuggled up to him before the previews started. Maybe his luck was changing…

Thirty minutes or so into the movie and Pitch was letting the shorter boy snuggle against him and hide. He couldn’t help but chuckle; Sandy had both confused him for a girl, and forgotten to check what kind of movie this was. Well, at least it was a very loyal remake… And there were the pre-decayed Deadites. Maybe he should show the smaller the original movies, just to see if he liked the older effects better. Running his hand through the smaller teen’s hair, he smiled and snuggled closer. “Want to go back to my place after?” He whispered sweetly. Sandy nodded, glancing up at the screen for a moment before ducking back down. Glancing at the screen, he had to try not to chuckle at the infamous tree-rape scene that was playing out. The movie ended on the usual cliff -hanger, and he gathered the empty cup and half-eaten popcorn. “Ready?”

“Yup.” Sandy smiled as he grabbed his coat. Pitch gave the shorter man a crocked grin as he pulled on his black trench coat, mirroring the smaller who pulled on the bright yellow jacket. Walking to his black Jetta, he glanced back at Sandy.

“Did you drive or take the bus?”

“Bus. I don’t have a license.” Sandy grinned and Pitch chuckled before unlocking the car.

“My parents are out of town, but I normally have friends over either way.” Pitch grinned as he started the car. “Oh, I forgot to ask… Would you rather call me by my actual name or by Pitch?”

“I don’t mind calling you Pitch, but I would like to know your name.” Sandy grinned. “You seem to act like we’ve met before…”

“It’s Kozmotis, Sandy.” He chuckled and Sandy blushed. Driving the car silently, he glanced at his companion. “I lost a bet with Frost. Had to wear a dress for the weekend… The guy I was supposed to meet found out and… You get the idea.”

“Jack’s a jerk sometimes.” Sandy sighed. “I can talk to him for you…”

“Nonsense. I lost a fair bet… Besides, we both got to still have a movie date… Even if it wan’t with who we originally were going with.” Sandy blinked and glanced at Pitch, who was gripping the steering wheel tighter. Had there been jealousy in that… Oh. He was going to kick Jack later for doing this.

“So, what do you want to do at your place?” He asked and Pitch relaxed.

“I thought you might want to see the 1979 Evil Dead. If not, we could watch something else… Fright Night, maybe?” Pitch offered sweetly. Sandy blanched a bit and tried to think of a movie they both might like.

“What about Jurassic Park?” He asked and Pitch smiled.

“We could marathon the trilogy.” He answered as he pulled up to the house. Grinning, Sandy carried the popcorn bucket as Pitch locked up the car and walked up the front walk. Unlocking the door, he opened the door and turned on the light. “I’ll go change into some jeans and a shirt. The DVDs are by the TV.” He called as he shed his coat and picked up the dark grey cat that was weaving around his ankles.

“Okay.” Sandy grinned as he closed the door and shed his coat. Walking to the living room, he glanced at the pictures on the wall before scowling at the large black dog that was growling at him.

“Mordred, behave!” Pitch shouted and the dog quieted. “Sorry, he’s my mother’s pet.” He apologized as he walked over, cat wrapped around his shoulders as he fixed his shirt. Reaching over, he took the case of three DVDs off the shelf by the TV and put in the first one. Sitting on the couch, he smiled as Sandy climbed up to cuddle and began the movie.

Snuggling up to Pitch, Sandy smiled as he felt Pitch’s arm drape around his shoulders. The two sat in content silence as they let the movie enchant them.

(Pitch/Sandman) Size Really DOES Matter

Or, the trials and errors of Sanderson Mansnoozie, in his quest to pleasure Pitch Black, despite only coming up to his knee.

As much as I adore seeing Quicksand fluff and fanart, the one thing that I always find myself asking is: how in the moon do…

((Couldn’t help myself. Sandmann is an Adaro for this: http://www.mythicalcreaturesguide.com/page/Adaro ))

An old man by a seashore
At the end of day
Gazes the horizon
With seawinds in his face
Tempest-tossed island
Seasons all the same
Anchorage unpainted
And a ship without a name

Pitch Gold sighed to himself as he fixed his uniform for the fiftieth time today. It had to be done today, or he would just keep putting it off… Brushing back his blonde hair, he affixed the naval hat and gave himself a curt nod. Now to get everything ready at the Cliffside…

Sea without a shore for the banished one unheard
He lightens the beacon, light at the end of world
Showing the way lighting hope in their hearts
The ones on their travels homeward from afar

Dragging the heavy anchor along the path behind him, he glances up at his old ship. She served him well up until his banishment, and it pained him to just let it float away… but it was better this way. It would always have been better if he had never come home that day.

This is for long-forgotten
Light at the end of the world
Horizon crying
The tears he left behind long ago

Far below, a small dark figure watched excitedly. It wasn’t often sailors threw themselves to the darker creatures of the sea, and the Adaro wasn’t going to let a free meal go to waste… Oh. He blushed a dark purple at the first glimpse of the sailor he got. Well, it would be a shame to kill such a handsome sailor…

The albatross is flying
Making him daydream
The time before he became
One of the world’s unseen
Princess in the tower
Children in the fields
Life gave him it all:
An island of the universe

Pitch finished tying the rope and lifted his head as the bird flew passed. If he closed his eye and listened hard enough, he could still hear his wife and daughter calling for him as he came up the walk after a long travel. Taking a deep breath, he checked the tightness of the ropes on the anchor and his feet. There was no turning back now.

Now his love’s a memory
A ghost in the fog
He sets the sails one last time
Saying farewell to the world
Anchor to the water
Seabed far below
Grass still in his feet
And a smile beneath his brow

Sandmann watched as the sailor pushed the anchor off the cliff and quickly hid. Once the smiling man went in the water, he dove down and used his knife to cut the ropes. Dragging the taller man into his cave was harder, but worth is when the man awoke. The short conversation that followed led to introductions, and for once, it seemed like Pitch was smiling with sincerity once more.

This is for long-forgotten
Light at the end of the world
Horizon crying
The tears he left behind so long ago

I am silent right now, because all feels can’t be fit in words. It’s beautiful. I want to read more. I’m so glad to see consequence of your Quicksand addiction.
