Then they wound up running around the tiny area backstage as karkat was out already trying to greet the crowd as a stupid strawberry-man. Eridan hopped to get out of the way, and Sollux would snicker and run after him to boop him again. Eventually the topheavy costumes caused Eridan to trip, and Sollux to fall ontop of him since he didn’t stop in time. They laid there, face to face, laughing like idiots for a few seconds before Sollux leaned down to kiss him.
“…NOW LET ME INTRODUCE YOU TO MY TWO PALS HERE….” A red fruit poked his head backstage. “WHAT ARE YOU DOING? GET UP!”
They stumbled to their feet before going to put on the stupidest worst performance the kids had ever seen.

Cronus doesn’t know why he’s here at the little freak’s doorstep, and tonight of all nights at that. But here he was, with his hands shoved into his black leather jacket’s pockets because it was fucking cold in Kansas at this time of year, staring down the guy’s door like it had personally offended him. And it sort of had, because anything that that kid touched was to be put on Cronus’ list of things that he disliked. It was a very long list, Mituna’s possessions notwithstanding.
Finally getting up the nerve, Cronus picked up a tight fist to bang on the door. He almost fell backwards when it swung open by itself and a gangly kid almost ran right into him.
