I don't know that I've ever said anything about it but I LOVE how done Ferdinand looks with Pitch and Sandy in almost every picture where he's in the same space as them as an adult. Like "Noooooooooo stoppit dads you're embarrassing me"
Ferdinand love those two with a passion not matter what weird variation of themself are becuase in the end are his parents and actually are very cool dudes, but he really would like them to cut out with their super high level of shameless dorkness, he need some soothing and calm space for himself from time to time, if they keep up with this, he might end up overthrow them both in a hissy fit so they will behave

Pitch is Onyx and Sandy is Yellow Aventurine, both are from the chalcedony variety of gemstones
At first Sandy was inbetween the agate and the aventurine because yellow actually is not even a usual color for those two, but aventurine has lots of sand correlations so it was the winner
