they had so much parallel and canon past and that crab made a villain song and used half of it to mock maui and also admiring him  telling how he was gonna wreck the guy and LITERALLY DID SO WHILE SINGING, the real question is why others don’t already ship this!!!

I think is just that lots people don’t even wanna consider the ship because of the fact that tamatoa is a crab, I think even the factor of him being a giant is not so big as him being a real species of animal, I feel that if tamatoa was a vague monster creature, way more people would be into the idea of shipping them

if you aren’t very used to unhuman shipping, it can be kinda hard the first time making fics/fanarts about a hunk demi god finding attractive a giant monster crab, but let’s be honest here man, yeah he is a crab, but mythology all around the world have been all about weird stuff liek this since forever! swan and lady, dragons and old men, people and literal weather patterns, the list go on!

don’t be afraid of shipping the big crab and demigod people, is not big deal!
