The other day i was super busy to start it but after thinking about it, i decided give another try at the ol’ good goretober challenge, now i just deciding on a good list to do, tho i noticing that the hot new thing on this year is this thing called “hanahaki”?? Which looks more kinda weird than anything else, and can’t really do it with Father Abner since he is ultra married
Any prefernce on what you want to see Abner suffer this year??

Tales of a haunted woods, and of the town nestled within them. Of familiar yet horrifying things that slither in the dark, stalking the unsuspecting residents down the quiet streets. But there is also the unknown, lurking in the outskirts of the town.
They are always watching, waiting for the right moment.
Welcome to Recondite Hill
A collection of stories about the strange beings that lurk on the edges of nightmares and reality in a small town called Recondite Hill. It is, in essence, a love letter to those weird local stories about monster sightings, unexplainable events and forbidden places. These stories are captured in black-and-white gray scale on 110 pages of haunting comics and illustrations by 24 magnificent artists and writers.
If you want a series that completely broke itself: Puppet Master, first movie was a slow burn thriller/horror, then it got progressively more insane until it's jumping the shark moment was turning the puppets into nazi-killing creations of a Jewish wizard, then promptly hung itself by making the next movie a clip show of the previous 5 films. Now it got rebooted and apparently it had no idea what it wanted to be and is boring as hell.
ACTUALLY, my reason of that ranting/vent post was caused by the weirdly “joyful” reception the latest Puppet Master got from a part of the horror fandom, like, I not sure if the shark jump moment you are mentioning is the 3rd one or the 7nd, I personally find the 3rd one as the moment peak of the franchise, it has a good story, a really great atmosphere, found a way of keeping the puppets on camera constantly but still giving us bloody murders here and there, and as good guys you aren’t constantly berating the heroes to use their natural instict to kick the dolls down, is a good movie and i feel it should have tried following that path…….but in a better written way of course
also, if complety broken down franchises we are talking about, hellraiser takes the money man, I mean, hellworld, seriously?? REVELATIONS?! THESE GUYS LET A SMUCK HIJACK THEIR OWN FRANCHISE ON JUDGMENT AND DID NOTHING AGAISNT IT!
there is nothing worse than being a horror movies fan when it comes to sequels, you might think everybody dreads the same when a new continuations of your fav franchise is announces and don’t look very good, but there is a real fear when is of the horror genre, comedies, action and most other genres, in the worse case scenarie just try making the same movie as the first but BIGGER AND LOUDER
hero jumped an opening bridge? now he jumps a between helicopters flying, main guy falls while holding a cake? now he falls over a double wedding cake!! and I’m not saying that can’t be the exact same as a horror movie, becuase it can, but when it comes to it, the worse case scenaries can be 100 times WORSE, now the esoteric secret demon cult turns to a teens slasher party about videogames, or the the ghost monster turn out to be an alien from the past, or the crazed murder families were actually hired as a ploy by the fbi to sell illegal stuff
and the worse thing is that if the franchise started as a badly done B movie, and the one you liked is like the 3 one becuase was the one that actually was better and more soulfull done, suddenly you can’t critized it when it wants to “come back to it’s roots” by putting again a bunch of bad sex scenes, trying to pass out gross out horror by scary horror and totally flipping the characters interpretations becuase they weren’t still very worked out in the first movie!!!!
I want to design a shirt saying something like “not the antichrist but still a son of a bitch” or “a son of a bitch but not the antichrist”, but my grasp on english grammar sometimes isn’t teh best as you all know, so, which you feel sounds better? or if
in general
makes sense grammatically speaking
don’t just put a like on this, I don’t know english grammar, so the feedback would actually be appreciate
@thismightyneed I was just googling the name Tamatoa to see if there was a Polynesian deity/monster/mythic figure of that name or if he was made up for the film and I am dying that your art of him was the first image Google pulled up for him :D!
I wouldn’t say I don’t like her, I feel that what I almost borderline hate about her is mostly the fandom take on her and how DC try selling her as this female deadpool spunky girl and pushing her sins under the rug so they can pretend she was always meant to be an antihero or at worse a tame misguided villain
like many people, my introduction to batman was the batman tas version, so basically the BEST VERSION to start anything, and as we all know, Harley was created inside that show and I know I know, in the comics world, you basically gotta cherry pick the canons and stuff you like because the questionable quality of it as a whole, but like I said, BTAS is the best for good reasons, one is how they remade and explored many of the rogues gallery in both good and negative ways without hiding that they were currently bad because many were chosing to be it, sure many were pushed to evilness but then they embraced it and made it a life style and that was the problem
when I think of harley, I of course think of her original version, because is the most well established version one can get from her, the show show us that at while she was seduced into crime by joker and was a victim of abuse by him as well, it also show us that this was not a case of “oh i was cheated into being a criminal” but more of a “the potential I have here!!!” honestly, I can’t understand how anybody can see this harley and think she is just a victim of the situation than someone who just discovered their genius on a new skill; it show us that like many villains, Harley had the potential to redeem herself, but she had to choose to do it and stick to it, which she almost did once, but then kidnapped someone and went back to her bad habits
I feel is very awful trying to make her along side with ivy as this girl power icon that defend women, kids, puppies and only is aggressive and violent with people who “deserve it” (mostly men), when we saw the canon first harley being cruel with women and kids just the same as with men and having fun at it
she liked being cruel and evil, she enjoyed being a complete bastard even if not sadistic, and I can respect that!! acting like if she is an antihero angel that is only mentally ill for fun or “not my fault” reasons but not for the ugly bad ones is pretty damn bad character portrait and writing, and don’t hodl any real value on my view, let her be the abuse survivor, but also abuse inflicter bastard villainess she was born to be!! DON’T DENY HER!!!!
