after talking some stuff with a friend over skype about why Pitch could have way more names than Sandy on fics (kosmotis, pitchiner, kozmo, etc) and Sandy was just always SANDY, I have come to the conclusion that at least half the sandies from 8000 blacksand AUs probably are not named Sanderson (or Sander and Alexander variants), that probably most of them have different SAND-something name, or that probably many of them don’t even have names that sound like that at all, but THEY ALL are nicknamed Sandy, why? they don’t know, they just know that sandy is like the perfect nickname for them

Not sure if you're doing more asks but-- How does Ferdinand, sandmann and gold do as a family? Vacations? Traditions? Any sort of bonding times between the two daddies and son?
I think they do amazing as family, is just mostly Ferdinand overreacting most times having in mind his current age, but he love his family and even the always there company of the guardians, he is just still too young and uncomfortable, what a cutie dork
I don’t think that spirits with the jobs of daily dreams making and fear inducing would really have vacations, I guess when they have free time, is mostly relaxing and being together
I imagine that teaching Ferdinand about all the things of spirit world and the dream making is a really great way of bonding since is quite a limitless subject on both things, also Ferdinand ocassionally discovering particular modern stuff he take interest into and subtlely trying to involve his parents into without saying a word is a great thing too (then again, is Jack the one that also introduce Ferdinand to many things of the new age)
as for traditions, going to the venice carnival and the apokreas, they also enjoy walking around humans on new year celebrations!

Gold at first arrive to Sandmann’s place to find baby Ferdinand basically wrapped to one of the many nest/beanbag chairs Sandmann has all around there and is super angry at him, because believes he is not taking proper care of their new baby! he then take him from it and goes to give Sandmann one hell of a speech about it when baby Ferdinand start floating away from Gold’s arms
Gold should give Sandmann more credit about this whole deal

Like, in place of Pitch leaving Sophie when he went for Sandy, he would have hide her elsewhere and Tooth didn’t found her, and so, she thinks she met the fate of all others victims of Pitch but they never found the body
meanwhile, Pitch, Sandy and Sophie (I guess after enough time with great deal of care, stockholm syndrome probably hit on kids way easier than on adults) so, horrible muder perfect family times! Tooth is still searching for Pitch on her own account tho
and one day on Tooth’s life, a particular mysterious dark but shy gentleman enter in her life and things are going pretty fine with him, and he is really romantic, but there is this THING about him, on which Tooth can’t really put her finger on, also, she have started to feel a bit sick lately
eventually there comes a big date with him, and tooth is really excited, but on the way she loses consciousness and when she wake up, she is on a living room, tied up and unable to ask for help, and she sees the little Sophie her and then sverything makes sense! she try to ask her for help, but Sophie just laugh and run at the arms of Sandy who is all like “oh Tooth, such a nice thing you came to met my little family” and Pitch is there like “it was a perfect gift for my darling husband” and everything goes black for Tooth
