Quicksand/Blacksand week - Day 1 - Scars

okey guys, quicksand week is on and so, I offering free quick doodles of these two dorks!

send me a prompt from the table challenge BUT you also gotta send some kickass and suitable for it song to inspire me while drawing it! prompts without song will not be admitted!

you can also write 2 or 3 promts on the same request and I will see how I mix them all together

sorry for taking so long man, been a bit busy here!

well, I have never done a drawing tutorial but I guess I can try something for you here - LONG POST AHEAD-

Sandy is all curves and ovals in the way I draw him basically, I normally draw him bending his legs while floating to keep the patron of curves and all that unless I need a particular posture

when drawing his hair, I basically draw it more like flames than using spikes, again, to keep the sense of curves and give him some more relaxed form, now Pitch…

Pitch on body and proportions is pretty basic, tall, slim and all sharp edges like evrybody say. I gotta say, I kind of cheat when I draw him without cloack becuase I like to make him look more toned and muscular even if still slim, but once on cloak I make him looking more slender and “living shadow” like basically also Pitch is 2 and half sandys tall

….I gonna be honest, I don’t even know how Pitch face work or how I make it work, it does and it is magical, I basically make him look like some sort of crow from side and when is front face is all rectangles and many straight lines, but seriusly, to me, his face is a huge mess to hold, sorry, what I can advice here is that you practice his face in a way that work for you and that would be easy to pull everytime you try because his face is already too complicate

you guys don’t really know how much I like to draw Ferdinand, I actually would like to draw him a whole bunch all time, his desing is the cutest thing ever

thanks a lot anon! actually I been meaning to draw the Pitchiners for a while by now, so this was like perfect chance for it! I hope you like them

checking the few screencaps of Sandy and Pitch interactions, I keep seeing how Pitch keep trying to hit sandy with long rank weapons like the scythe and the arrow and is like-

why even Pitch was trying those with such a small target like Sandy??? the guy is his all lifetime rival and in place of using things that would promise a exact hit on him, he use weapons that he would need to have one incredible aiming skill for it!

Sandy’s whips are probably his perfect weapon againts Pitch, even if he moves, it doesn’t mean the whips by itself wouldn’t be able of moving on a unnatural way to catch him. But Pitch weapon is the worse to fight someone like Sandy, and is not like the most brutal option to use for it, there are sickles for a reason. Like either he wanted to make the act of actually hitting Sandy for himself harder to acomplish or they have fighted for so much around that by now was more sort of game of “fighting to dead” that Pitch would have forgotten how incredible umpractical his weapon of choice is againts his actual only threat in the whole world for his evil plans
